About the Author

It all begins with dreams....
Steven Corirossi was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, where at the early age of 10, he discovered his love of writing, penning a fictional story about a young boy who dreamed about what heaven would be like. At the same time, Steven found his other love... music! As writing took a temporary backseat to his drumming, Steven aggressively pursued his dream of starting his own band by practicing hours on end in the basement of his parents home. With the support of his mom & dad, Steven captured that dream and founded his band, Choyce, at the age of 15. It was at this time that his writing made an exciting return. Where there was music, there needed to be words--Steven's words. And so, the mighty pen met paper again. Throughout Choyce's five year stint, Steven wrote more than 100 songs, copyrighting most but recording only a few. It was also a time when Steven began writing a story about a young, struggling musician trying to "make it" to the big time. The years passed, however, and Steven decided to move from the frigid winters of Rockford to the ever blue skies of the Valley of the Sun...Phoenix, Arizona.

"Angus and the Hidden Fort," "Angus and the Mysterious House," and "Angus and the Forgotten Trails," are Steven's first three novels in a six-book series of "Angus Stories." He is currently working on his fourth, "Angus and the Secret Code."  Watch for it in the fall of 2008.

Steven now shares his musical talents with other "Valley" musicians and can occasionally be seen drumming at special events around Arizona.

Steven resides in Scottsdale, Arizona with his awesome sons...

Reading Rocks!!

Paul Stanley of KISS with my oldest son.  Paul was kind enough to show my son a few riffs on his guitar the night before this shot was taken.  And to boot...my son was using Ace Frehley's guitar during the lesson!  And just to let you know.  Paul Stanley is a class act, a true gentleman...and a genuine rock star.  Thanks for all that you have done for us, Paul.  And especially for the industry of rock 'n roll.  Shout it out LOUD!

Hey!  That's my oldest son with the original drummer from KISS, Peter Criss.  The night before this pic was taken, KISS rehearsed their show (without make-up) for an audience of two:  me and my son!  Thanks again, guys!

My youngest son doing a little jamming before dinner. This boy can play!
My son - in middle - getting ready to burn up the track at the District Field Day in Phoenix.

One of my first books signings...right after Angus and the Hidden Fort was published.  It was at Borders Books & Music in Glendale, Arizona.  I met a lot of very nice people that day...well, okay, maybe not a lot.  Not too many customers stopped by my table.  But hey, you've got to start somewhere!  Thanks, Borders!

Backstage with Amy Grant...she asked me to sign a couple of my books for her kids, which I happily did.  Word has it, they liked them very much!  Thanks for your support Amy.

Hanging out with Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony. Yeah, I'm sweatin'. It was July. In Phoenix... Dry heat? I don't think so!
Backstage with Robin Zander of Cheap Trick after a show a few years back. I think we were talking about the good old days back in our hometown of Rockford, Illinois. "Hey Robin. Remember Waverly Beach?" Yeah, those were the days!
My oldest son - in middle - with a couple of his friends after one of their incredible high school chorus concerts. These dudes rock!
